Cancer Support Services
Our Cancer Support Services program provides a full range of support services, education, and activities for youth and adults undergoing treatment or recent recovery of cancer. Funds donated to this program keeps these vital activities, outings and services available at no cost for cancer patients. Getting the support you need without worrying about the cost is one less thing to think about when preoccupied with doctor visits, medication, treatment, and healing. The support and engagement from this program hopes to make cancer a little less daunting, and survivorship a lot more hopeful.
2024 Logan Health Cancer Support Services Programs
Logan Health Fitness Center Classes
Cancer survivors will participate in the following fitness classes located at the Logan Health Fitness Center: J-Walking, Tai Chi, Aqua Zumba, and PiYo. The fitness center classes will promote the importance of healthy living and help with the adjustment back into the community.
Art Therapy
Cancer survivors will use art as a form of therapy to process feelings of distress and depression.
Cooking for Wellness Recipe
Cancer survivors will have access to healthy recipes provided by Logan Health dietitians and learn the importance of eating well to help manage symptoms and side effects of cancer treatments.
Look Good Feel Better (LGFB)
Led by a licensed cosmetologist, LGFB program will enhance self-confidence and provide some normalcy through teaching beauty techniques to cancer survivors who have appearance-related side effects from cancer treatment. Program lessons include skin and nail care, cosmetics, wigs and turbans, accessories, and styling.
Head Coverings
Cancer survivors may receive a wig fitting, wig, and care products/care instructions to provide emotional and physical enhancement from the loss of hair due to alopecia.
Cancer Support Community of Montana
Cancer survivors will have access to professionally-led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body programs. Cancer survivors can learn vital skills to regain control, reduce feelings of isolation, and restore hope.
